JIM STRANO Lead Vocals
was the lead singer for the original band The Rings for close to twenty years. The Rings hits include 'Standstill,' 'Old Pair of Shoes,' 'Whose She Lovin' Now,' and many more. After retiringfrom singing, he decided to take up his second love acting. He is on the Board of Directors of Around the Block Productions. His roles include Louis in Paul Boga's Philodendron, Ramonin Allen Davis III (High Flyer (Reflection in Asphalt) and more recently in Puerto Rican Traveling Theatre's A Fiesta of Words and Music. He was also Dan in Fred di Luna's Compatibility (Short Rides On the Local), Joe in David Reyes The F Word and Gonzalez in Allen David III Social Insecurity. Most recent production starred as Argan in Moliere's The Imaginary Invalid F.F.I.T. and T.S. Elliot's Murder in the Cathedral.
Jimmy is a founding member of the Raccoon Acting Troupe Productions. Performances with the Troupe include Barefoot in the Park, The Goodbye People, Dr. Cooks Garden, The Bear and Four Comedies and a Drama. Film credits include Big daddy James in Al Watkins' Carolina Gold, Al in Poseidon Pictures Expecting Broken Snow, Tom in the Brooch & Lewinski's' the Bargain and most recent role as Freddy in Willet's Point.
